miGak nail art table was founded in Brooklyn in 2017 as a small salon with just one table. Thanks to the support of the local community and positive word of mouth, it rapidly expanded. In 2024, after seven successful years in Park Slope, the salon relocated to Prospect Heights to accommodate its growth and now operates with eight tables.

The owner, Shizuka Ishihara, accumulated seven years of experience as a nail artist in Japan before relocating to New York in 2012 to further refine her skills. Her exceptional talent, design sense, and charismatic personality have earned her a diverse and loyal clientele, including celebrities such as Alanis Morissette and members of the Rockefeller family, as well as numerous influencers. Beyond her work in the salon, Shizuka’s expertise extends to backstage roles at New York Fashion Week and contributions to photo shoots for prestigious publications such as ELLE.
